Sunday
EVENING:
Read Psalm 62
Orient your heart toward a week of focused prayer, taking special note of how the Psalmist characterizes prayer v. 8 and how the Psalmist characterizes God in v. 11-12. Focus this evening on just his character and begin to pour your heart out to the Lord, unloading the things that are weighing on you and stirring within you.

Monday
MORNING
Read Galatians 5:16-17, Ephesians 3:14-21
Start off this week asking for the Spirit to minister to you, to fill you, to make Jesus real to you, and to draw you into communion with God. Ask for Him to draw your desires that are of Him to the surface, and to reveal those desires which are of the flesh. Pray for focus and against distractions.
EVENING
Read John 17
Walking through Jesus’ intercession for his disciples, take each paragraph and intercede along the same lines for Generations as a whole.

Tuesday
MORNING
Read Matthew 26:36-46
Recognize and repent for the fleshly weakness which leads you to prayerlessness, and ask God to give you a desire to pray; to make you alert; to sharpen your awareness and to draw you into fellowship with Him and enjoyment of Him.
EVENING
Read 2 Thessalonians 1:1-12
Taking it by section, order your prayers after the pattern set by Paul, but on behalf of Generations, and the larger church in our community. This may include focusing on thanksgiving for the evidences of faith and love growing among us, and interceding for the Spirit to conform our lives to the shape of the Kingdom; that His priorities would be our priorities; and that we would be worthy of His calling.

Wednesday
MORNING
Read 1 Chronicles 29:10-19
Take inventory of the Lord’s goodness to us in ways great and small. Spend time offering thanksgiving for His presence, protection, provision and power manifest in your life, your family and in Generations. Pray for us to faithfully steward God’s blessing for the next Generation.
EVENING
Read Psalm 145
Continuing in a posture of gratitude and thanksgiving, with a focus on the enlarged vision of God and his work in history and throughout the world which this Psalm testifies to. With a special focus on v. 4, cry out to God and intercede for the next generation in our church, community and nation. Include prayer for Tyler Hoitsma (Upper 90), and for Dish Gangulee (YoungLife), both members of our church serving in ministries focused on reaching the next generation.

Thursday
MORNING
Read Ephesians 1:15-23
Pray in line with Paul’s Kingdom-advancing prayer for the Ephesians, interceding on behalf of Generations, for local churches and ministries around us, and any churches or ministries you’re connected to more broadly.
EVENING
Read Luke 11:1-13, Isaiah 42:19
The week is wearing on. It’s easy to lose stamina. It’s easy to start dragging. It’s easy to feel like we’ve covered everything already and get bored. But our God loves and responds to “impudence.” He loves resilient, relentless prayer. Let’s draw strength from Jesus’ indication that there is aggregate power in our diligence and tenacity in prayer. Let’s ask for the strength and fortitude to keep going. And let’s keep going. And let’s intercede this way on behalf of our church partners in Colombia. Remember too, our brothers and sisters in Cuba, where we recently sent Paul and Scottie.

EVENING
Read Colossians 1:3-14
Taking from this passage, allow Paul’s prayer to shape your intercession for our ministry partners in South Africa and West Africa (Burkina Faso).
