Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
— Matthew 6:19-21

Why We Give
The mission to make disciples and multiply churches will not be fulfilled apart from the generous and sacrificial giving of God's people, so thank you for your interest in giving to support gospel advancement through the ministry of Generations.
God designed us to enjoy Him and to worship Him. Because of sin, we tend to worship and serve created things rather than the Creator. But reconciliation to God the Father, through Jesus, reorients our hearts toward worship of the Creator.
This posture of worship means that everything is brought under the lordship of Christ. We don't allow earthly treasure to control us any longer. Instead, we're ruled by eternal treasure. We don't serve money. Money is a tool we use to serve Jesus. It's God's money, and we are stewards of what belongs to Him. So we don't give of our finances in order to earn God's love, we simply respond to the way He has already loved us. Through His abundant generosity toward us, we are freed to be abundantly generous toward others.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.
