James Rowell helped to plant Generations with his father, John, in 2010 and he took on the role of Lead Pastor in the summer of 2013. James received a Master’s Degree from Kennesaw State University in Conflict Management in 2008. His undergraduate degree is in Journalism from Toccoa Falls College. Growing up in the home of a pastor and church planter, James was saved by Jesus at a young age, but his heart was more fully captured by the person of Jesus and the mission of Jesus in his early 20’s.

James spent 4 years after college in a management role within the service industry before entering vocational ministry in 2008. He loves sharing life and ministry with his best friend and beautiful wife, Betsy, and their 6 kids, Dylan, Josiah, Ephraim, Daniel, Reagan and McLean. They live in Norcross and dream about seeing this community saturated by the gospel of Jesus Christ so that disciples are made, servant leaders are sent out, and churches are planted among the nations and the next generation.
